Great news for state employees who want to show support for the Vegas Golden Nights Hockey Team!
Governor Brian Sandoval has authorized state employees to wear Golden Knights’ apparel on workdays of Stanley Cup Playoff Finals game nights, or the Friday’s before weekend games. We’re all so impressed, proud and supportive of Nevada’s home-team hockey players the Vegas Golden Nights. They’ve defied the odds and in their first year as a team are vying for the National Hockey League Stanley Cup. It’s now between the Golden Knights and the Washington Capitals who will be champion, the first to win 4 out of 7 games. If you don’t have Golden Knights’ apparel, feel free to wear the team’s colors, gold and black, to show your support for the home team.
Here’s the schedule:
Friday, May 25, 2018 – Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 1, Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day, Offices are Closed).
Wednesday, May 30, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 2, Wednesday, May 30.
Friday, June 1, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 3, Saturday, June 2.
Monday, June 4, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 4, Monday, June 4.
If neither team has 4 wins yet, the Finals will continue as follows…
Thursday, June 7, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 5, Thursday, June 7.
Friday, June 8, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 6, Sunday, June 10.
Wednesday, June 13, 2018 - Employees can wear Golden Knights’ apparel/colors in support of the home team in Game 7, Wednesday, June 13.
